Ideja o međunarodnoj regulaciji prava i sloboda koje bi se trebale odnositi na sve ljude, rađa se polovicom dvadesetog stoljeća. Povod su stradanja u Drugom svjetskom ratu. Iz tog su razloga 10. prosinca 1948. Ujedinjeni su narodi proglasili Opću deklaraciju o ljudskim pravima. Ujedinjeni narodi osnovani su u San Franciscu 1945. godine sa ciljem održanja svjetskog mira i sigurnosti, razvoja prijateljskih odnosa među nacijama i promocije društvenog napretka, boljih životnih uvjeta i ljudskih prava.

The idea of international regulation of the rights and freedoms that should be applied to all people, is found in the middle of the twentieth century. The cause was suffering in World War II. For these reasons, the United Nations was founded on December 10, 1948, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was proclaimed. The United Nations was founded in San Francisco in 1945 with a view to maintaining world peace and security, developing friendly relations among nations and promoting social progress, better living conditions and human rights.

THE RECOGNITION OF INNATE DIGNITY AND EQUAL AND INALIENABLE RIGHTS OF ALL MEMBERS OF THE HUMAN FAMILY IS THE FOUNDATION OF FREEDOM, JUSTICE AND PEACE IN THE WORLD

Mi smo učenici 5. b razreda Osnovne škole Ivana Cankara iz Hrvatske. Ovo je naš projekt u sklopu izvannastavne aktivnosti Građanski odgoj i obrazovanje. Želimo podići svijest ljudi o važnosti poštivanja ljudskih prava i učiniti svijet barem malo boljim mjestom za život.

Ovo je, također, dio globalne akcije World's Largest Lesson i dio eTwinninig projekta Let's give peace a chance.

We are 4th grade students of the Ivan Cankar Elementary School from Croatia. This is our project as part of the education activities of Civic Education. We want to raise people's awareness of the importance of respecting human rights and at least make the world a better place to live.
